Bottoms Up.
Ive faced the facts and realized i haven't been feeling as good as one should be feeling. After a much needed retreat down to Virginia to visit good friends Ross and Vanessa i've decided to revamp my diet and take care of my body. I picked up a pre packaged daily vitamin pack. A Multivitamin, an Amino Acid Complex, an Herbal and Whole Food Nutrients, a Calcium, an Active C, a Lecithin, a Zinc, a Chlorella, a Eleuthero, a Vitamin E and a Fish Oil. Everyday for the next 30 days ill wash 11 pills down with a cup of coffee shortly followed by an apple or banana. Bottoms Up.

APOCALYPSE
There's a handful of things i love about post apocalyptic movies. Of course story and character development factor in but id like to focus on the more literal items and implements. Things that when the shit hits the fan you better not be caught without.
1. Booze. You'll see that there is always a saloon or pub left standing. Booze is a great bartering piece and it cant hurt to take the edge off while witnessing the horror of the aftermath.
2. Weaponry. There is always going to be the need to protect yourself. Guns, knives, make shift shanks. Anything to stop that certain someone from getting your rapidly dwindling supply of booze, oil, food, or water.
3. A Motorcycle. Fuel efficient. Easily operated. Great in those tight situations. Sport bikes for speed, dirt bikes for general purpose, or a ratty war pig rigged with all sorts of fire arms for battle.
4. A Dog. Mans best friend. When you've lost everything there's nothing better then a loyal companion. And im not talking about dogs that fit in bags. Im talking about dogs that have your back in a fight.
5. Books. Although most of them will be used to keep the fire going on cold nights the classics we be cherished. Great minds will never be forgotten.
6. Food and Water. For obvious reasons.
I could go on and on. I'd like to believe that in the event i'd be well prepared.

HOOKED
"Somewhere along the line I knew there'd be girls, visions, everything; somewhere along the line the pearl would be handed to me."
-Jack Kerouac
I bought On The Road a few weeks ago haven't had a minute to get into it but today i had off and decided what better time then now. The last sentence of the first chapter got me.
