LIVIN'
I had all intentions on having my bike back together for a ride on Friday. Knowing it was going to be nothing short of perfect riding conditions immediately after work i went to work. Finishing up around 4 knowing people would still be out i made some calls. Handful of em' were already out west but a few were still around. I managed to meet up with the remainders and get a nice ride in, that is before running into some mechanical issues. Broken down at the beach not my bike but a buddies. Had to call in the S10 for some back up. To say i had concerns about the CB with only one strap staying put over the bridge on a windy day is an understatement. My neck is still sore from it. Made it back without any issues. By that time the other fellas were back around. Met up with them got a good ride in made plans to get breakfast the morning and rolled the bike back into the garage around 2 in the morning. Saturday started with a machete and an ax being thrown a 22 with aerosol cans preferably spray paint cans and a pint glass that was tougher then a 22. That being said hunger struck, George's diner serves great breakfast late. I also found out that 9 Sportsters can make a man use his first sick day in 5 years. Needless to say it was a great day. Knowing i had to catch a train and conveniently running out of gas simultaneously my ride ended short. Made the 630 and began mentally preparing for a 42 mile bicycle ride. And by mentally preparing I mean drinking beers with Jon and Big K on the ride in. Bar hopped Saturday night away. Sunday got some breakfast and got going. Knowing we had to sneak on the ride we decided it'd be best to leave a little late. We left too late. We managed to catch the pack on the FDR. Getting on wasn't an issue. Had a great ride aside of some small set backs, road work ruined the ride for a lot of people. Everyone had to walk there bike for about a mile on 278. I didn't care if i had paid 75 bucks to do it I might have. Finished up got some food and beers hung out. At 11 we found out Osama Bin Laden was killed by a sniper. Jumped on a train at 1230 and headed home. I bought a camera to remember times like this, it sat on my scanner all weekend.
